Into The Realm Of Possibility

Into The Realm Of Possibility tells the story of how Rotherham is creating the world’s first Children’s Capital of Culture, explores stories of youth and childhood from across the generations through objects from the museum collection, and asks you to share your own dreams for the town’s future. From February to May 2022, Into The Realm Of Possibility will act as the home for Children’s Capital of Culture, with an eclectic and engaging programme of tutorials, talks, and workshops.

Into The Realm Of Possibility has been co-curated by our Young Producers: 16-to-25 year olds from Rotherham who are working to create the Children’s Capital of Culture. The Young Producers have collaborated closely with two artists, Bluebeany and Kate Sully, to create a bold and colourful experience which bring to life objects from youth and childhood. The exhibition also showcases work from our Young Artists In Residence, who have been filming and photographing the behind-the-scenes development of the Children’s Capital of Culture.
