To celebrate Yorkshire Day, here is a reminder of the amazing events taking place in August at some of Yorkshire’s Hidden Gems.
It’s a busy month at Wentworth Woodhouse that sees music acts, art exhibitions, a classic car show and a food festival in and around the grade I listed mansion in Rotherham.

The South Yorkshire Classic Car & Motorcycle Show takes place on August 6 with 21st Century ABBA & Elton John appearing in an open air tribute concert on August 11.
Street food, an artisan market, bars, live music and chef demos are the order of the day later in the month with The Great British Food Festival.before August rounds off with The Wind in the Willows and the return of the WE Wonder.
Magna Science Adventure Centre is hosting a Spectacular Summer that includes Family activities, a Dinosaur Trail and our Under 5’s STEM Learning play area, plus lots more to see and explore!
Gulliver’s Valley is always good for a summer holiday day out or event a stayover. The season ends with a Fireworks Finale in September.
Grimm & Co. is out and about delivering workshops in local parks his month whilst also preparing to open its new magical spaces later in the year.
