Storytelling with Grimm & Co at Wentworth Woodhouse

There has been a few stories told surrounding Wentworth Woodhouse over the years, now Rotherham’s awesome apothecary of the magical, Grimm & Co is casting their spell over audiences in the gardens of the stately home.

Having first appeared in the Wentworth Woodhouse gardens during the WE Wonder 2019, Grimm & Co’s elves have been invited back.

On Thursday August 27 their “Enchanted Glade” is the place to be for magical, creative activities for for children aged 5 – 11 and their families.

Grimm & Co is a registered charity and its core purpose is to change lives one story at a time. It supports under-resourced children and young people aged 7 to 18 with their confidence and skills around creativity and writing.

Activities include fairy door making, a fairy door trail to follow, interactive storytelling, draw-a-long tutorials, and you can discover the power of magical plants. You can even upgrade your broomstick or update your wand at the Apothecary to the Magical pop-up shop.

Activities will be taking place throughout the day and attendees will just need to book “Open Gardens” tickets via the Wentworth Woodhouse website and then book on to sessions when you get there.

The stop at Wentworth will be the first outing for Grimm & Co’s new vehicle – a repurposed called horsebox “FloB” which allows the charity to carry out mobile/pop-up workshops, and other occasional one-off sessions while the new permanent location is completed in Rotherham town centre.
